Thankful Friday

I’m thankful for the ability to read…

I give credit to my mother for teaching me the importance of reading. As a child I remember bookcases filled with books from estate sales... old encyclopedias, history books, art books, craft books, travel books. My mother belonged to a book-of-the- month club and she made sure I had my own library card as soon as I was old enough. If you can read you can learn—knowledge is power. If you can learn, you can succeed. Not in a million years would I ever have imagined that my love of reading would one day lead me to write books. I’m thankful every day that I love what I do and I do what I love!
