Throwback Thursday: The Cowboy Next Door

I love strong heroines and when I came up with the idea for The Cash Brothers, I knew I wanted one of the leading ladies in the series to challenge the status quo.

Title IX (a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity) came into existence when I was in 9th grade. “Back in the day” the boys weren’t very supportive when they found out they had to share the gym with the girls’ basketball team. I can relate to many of Shannon’s experiences playing in a male-dominated sport.
